THE EDITORIAL DESK / CHECKED 30 OCTOBER 2026
Keep the record straight.
A feed finds a lead. A direct provider statement supports a record. An exact launch date needs explicit wording of its own.
What this edition covers
Twelve current title records from two direct provider newsrooms: eight released at provider level and four announced on a Q4 roadmap. Five records have explicit release-day evidence. Four original release briefs and six evergreen explainers were published on 30 October 2026. There are no independently examined previews or verified local availability observations.
Reviewed source statements span 24 September–29 October 2026. This edition’s week is 26 October–1 November. Only one reviewed source update falls in that week. We do not recast the September records as new October launches or use an edition date to refresh an old article.
Our evidence ladder
- Identify the exact title and provider on the direct source.
- Read whether the source announces, previews or confirms release. A roadmap mention stays announced until later evidence supports release.
- Record source publication day and our actual check day separately.
- Populate an exact release day only when the wording supplies one. A month, season or article timestamp is insufficient.
- Keep provider release separate from exact game/operator/market availability.
- Write original editorial notes and resolve artwork permission separately from factual verification.
Discovery feed: a working check, with its limits
On 30 October 2026 our command-line check of the Pragmatic Play newsroom RSS returned HTTP 200 and parseable RSS with ten entries. The latest entry was dated 29 October 2026. It supplied direct article leads; no feed body was imported into the publication. The browser research fetch could not read this feed, so that access failure is recorded alongside the successful independent request.
Play’n GO’s direct newsroom supplied the second set of checks. Its guessed blog-feed endpoint returned 404; we do not present it as a working subscription source. Provider pages can change independently of a search index or discovery feed. These observations are a dated discovery check, not a claim that this static site runs an automatic live service.
Refresh and recheck workflow
- Each working day, request discovery metadata with a bounded timeout. Keep the last successful metadata snapshot; log HTTP errors and retry later with backoff. Do not erase reviewed records when a feed fails.
- For each relevant new title or changed date, open the direct provider source. Check exact identity, status wording, publication date and date precision. Do not auto-publish feed entries.
- Recheck announced windows before and after their stated window. An elapsed window triggers research, not automatic release status or an inferred delay.
- Retain the earlier source, add the new evidence and write a dated change note explaining any material field change. If access fails, keep the last checked record and its honest check date.
- Review the calendar downloads after any date or status correction. Downloaded files are snapshots and do not subscribe the reader to updates.
- Run date/status tests and rebuild. Inspect the agenda, empty filters, downloads and primary links before the next edition is published.
Where a market filter would come from
All exact local availability observations are currently empty. We do not create a country selector from provider membership, language, visitor preference or a partnership announcement. A future filter requires a dated, exact-game observation for a named operator and jurisdiction, with clear source scope and a recheck policy. Country selection in the optional newsletter form is separate.
Calendar semantics
A download is offered only for a released record with a verified day. Provider statements without a time produce an all-day event using a date value. No midnight launch time or timezone is invented. The event’s end is the next calendar day, which is exclusive. We test month and year boundaries and leap days. A release statement is a historical fact, not an instruction to play.
Images and access
Our generated artwork illustrates a publication desk and premiere setting. It is not a product screenshot, evidence of gameplay or a provider endorsement. We reproduce no provider game artwork. All records, sources and guides remain readable without signup. This publication is in testing, with indexing closed and newsletter delivery on hold.
