THE REFERENCE SHELF / ORIGINAL EXPLAINER
Reading a provider roadmap without treating it as a promise
A named title and a target month are useful information. They are not a confirmed day.

Read the precision the provider actually gives
Roadmaps are statements about intended future content. A month is a window, a season is broader still, and a title listed without a date supplies no day at all. We preserve that precision rather than make the calendar look complete by assigning a convenient date.
The Q4 source below names Sugar Megarush with a November window and mentions other planned slots. Our records retain those different levels of detail. Their status remains announced because this review did not establish a later release confirmation. A lack of confirmation in this edition is not a claim that no later announcement exists anywhere.
Follow up without silently promoting status
When a target window approaches, check the direct provider newsroom and game documentation again. A feed can help discover a new page, but its title or publication timestamp should not automatically overwrite a reviewed record. The new source must support the field being changed.
If the expected day passes, keep the original wording and add a recheck task. Do not label the game delayed unless a source establishes a delay. Do not label it released because time has elapsed. The honest result can be “announced; current release confirmation not verified”.
Keep source history separate from current status
A future update may confirm launch. Keep the earlier roadmap as part of the evidence history and add the later source explaining the change. Record the date of the review separately from both publication dates. This lets a reader understand why a record moved between filters.
A change to an exact date should describe the previous and new values if both are supported. If the old date was an editorial mistake, say so plainly. A correction is different from a provider changing its plan; combining them would obscure responsibility.
Save only what the evidence can support
This site provides calendar downloads for released titles with an explicit verified release day. Announced windows get no invented all-day event. Date-only source statements stay date-only, so a device in another timezone cannot turn the provider’s day into the evening before.
A downloaded file is a snapshot. It cannot receive a later correction automatically. Revisit the release page before relying on it, and replace or remove your saved event if the record changes. Nothing in a roadmap establishes that a game will be offered by an operator in your country.
